'Very Merry Main Street' takes place Nov. 26

LAKEPORT, Calif. – There’s lots of warm Christmas cheer in store for families and fun-seekers of all ages at “Very Merry Main Street” taking place in downtown Lakeport on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.


The schedule of events is:


  • Lighted Parade at 5:30 p.m. from the Lake County Fairgrounds at 401 Martin St. to Main Street and down to Ninth Street.

  • Tree lighting by Hospice Services of Lake County in Museum Park immediately following parade.

  • Santa's Visit at Skip's Sweet Shoppe, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free stuffed toy for each child and a photo with Santa.

  • Downtown shopping until 8 p.m. Free refreshments and entertainment at many stores.

  • Where's Santa's Elf? Hunt, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Elf is hiding in downtown stores. Follow his trail to be eligible for prizes donated by local businesses. Pick up map at Skip's Sweet Shoppe.

  • Historic walking tour at 3 p.m. Complimentary. Meet at museum steps.

  • Snugglers & Snacks Booth in Museum Park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with peppermint schnappes-hot chocolate drinks and popcorn on sale.

  • Carolers and street entertainers from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.


The event is sponsored by the Lakeport Main Street Association, the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and Hospice Services of Lake County.
