Literacy tutor training planned for January

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Adult Literacy Program is seeking literacy tutors.


Literacy tutors can help students to a better future.


A free, extensive 12-hour training prepares tutors. The next training for literacy tutors will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 4, 11 and 18, 2012. A $20 materials donation is requested.


No experience is needed, and ongoing support and workshops are available.


The three day tutors preparatory workshop will be held at the Mendocino College Lake Center, 1005 Parallel Drive, Lakeport.
