Library hosts yeast breadmaking class

LAKEPORT – January is “Baking Month” at Lakeport Library, 1425 N. High St. with a monthlong display of baking books and a breadmaking class.


On Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m. Amy Patton of the library staff will demonstrate how to make yeast breads.


Patton draws on 30 years' experience as a home bread maker to teach this free class. She invites adults and teens to “learn to make your own white bread and master the time-saving techniques of healthy bread in 5 minutes a day.”


Class members will have a chance to learn hands-on about kneading bread dough.
