KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – LakeCoMoveToAmend announced that its monthly business meeting will be on Monday, Feb. 20.
The meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Guido’s Pizzeria Restaurant in Kelseyville.
Guido's is located at 5440 Live Oak Drive. The tentative agenda calls for discussion of a proposed Clearlake City Council Resolution to end Corporate Personhood and a County Ballot Initiative that would give Lake County residents a chance to voice their opinion. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
LakeCoMoveToAmend is a group of Lake County, Calif., residents that is promoting advancement of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution which would reverse the unpopular Citizens United, Supreme Court ruling and will establish that 1) corporations are not people and do not possess the inalienable rights of living persons; 2) money does not equal “speech” and is not protected by First Amendment rights against infringement; and 3) money and its influence on government and politics can and must be regulated.
