LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Soper-Reese Community Theatre’s Classic Movie Series presents the movie musical “1776” on Tuesday, July 10.
This film will be shown at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 St. Main St. in Lakeport, with a $5 suggested donation.
The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the film starting at 6 p.m.
The movie “1776” is based on the 1969 stage musical about the events leading up to the beginning of the American Revolution, at the time of the Second Continental Congress.
The cast includes William Daniels, Ken Howard, Blythe Danner, Howard Da Silva and John Cullum.
The Classic Movie Series runs on the second Tuesday of every month.

The Soper-Reese Community Theatre is a restored, historic, performing arts venue established in 1949 and seating 300 patrons.
Run by an all-volunteer organization, the theater operates under the guidance of the non-profit Lake County Arts Council.
The Soper-Reese brings dance, music, plays and poetry to all members of the Lake County community and to visiting tourists.
