CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Lake County Democratic Party will hold its annual Legislator's Barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 22.  

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Highlands Senior Center, 3245 Bowers Ave., Clearlake.

The theme is, “The Road We’ve Traveled.”

Sponsors for the the event include Congressman Mike Thompson, Congressman John Garamendi, state Sen. Noreen Evans, and Assembly members Wes Chesbro and Mariko Yamada. Yamada also will speak at the event.

The keynote speaker is California Secretary of State Debra Bowen.

David Neft will provide music.

The cost for the barbecue is $35 for adults, $25 for seniors and $20 for students. Children may attend for free. The menu consists of barbecue tri-tip, salads and desserts with wine donated by local wineries.
