AARP Tax-Aide program seeks volunteers

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The AARP Tax-Aide program is looking for local volunteers to help with the upcoming tax season.

You don’t need tax experience – only a willingness to help people in your own community with a much-needed service that is free, individualized and has no strings attached.

You will work with taxpayers directly; filling out tax returns and helping them seek a refund.

Almost four out of five people who turn to AARP Foundation Tax-Aide are 60 or older with household incomes that are not high.

For many of these people, a tax refund could mean the difference between paying for groceries or keeping the lights on.

You don’t need experience – you will be trained on the latest tax preparation forms and software. Bilingual is definitely a plus.
