LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – A local doctor recently made donations to two Northshore senior centers.

Dr. Milan Hopkins, M.D., presented checks totaling $2,595.22 to the senior centers in Upper Lake and Lucerne, according to Hopkins’ office manager Jason Wright.

Each of the centers received a check for $1297.61, Wright said.

Dr. Hopkins has donated to both senior centers in the past, according to Wright.

At the Dan and Tina Kelly Meals on Wheels Benefit concert in July 2012 Dr. Hopkins’ band, Freak Clinic, performed, Wright said.

Wright said Hopkins also has participated in benefits for Upper Lake Senior center in 2011 and 2012, and donated his computers to the Upper Lake center in 2011.

He and his band also are planning to participate in an upcoming benefit dinner for the two centers, Wright said.
