Hidden Valley Lake Garden Club to hold member garden tours April 8

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – On Monday, April 8, the members of the Hidden Valley Lake Garden Club will hold its third annual member garden tour.

This is always a very enjoyable and instructive event. Each of the four gardens on the tour offer a unique approach to the enjoyment of outdoor space.

Garden No. 1: This home is nestled under a heritage oak. The garden, located on a sunny hillside boasts a beautiful stone wall with terraced flower garden. Adjacent to the deck are raised vegetable beds with cold frame option.

Garden No. 2: A shade garden with many mature trees, seating nooks, water features, rambling stone walls and a colorful  array of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees.

Garden No. 3: A member new to the Hidden Valley Lake Community has been busy reclaiming an edible garden lush with fruit trees an avocado and fruiting vines. Charming paths crisscross the garden.

Garden No. 4: Combines a beautifully composed entry garden with a very private backyard deck overflowing with container flowers and shrubs, bonsai plants and living privacy walls.

The club will meet at the Hidden Valley Lake Association administrative building, 18174 Hidden Valley Road, for a coffee social at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 8, to be followed by a brief business meeting.

All are welcome.
