Museum to host historic reading series May 18

LAKEPORT, Calif. – “The Diary of Lucas Willey” will be the subject of the fourth historic reading in a historic reading series that will be held Saturday, May 18.

The reading will take place beginning at 2 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom at the Historic Courthouse Museum in Lakeport, 255 N. Main St.

Lucas Willey served as the justice of the peace in Lower Lake in 1870 and his diary describes, in detail, pioneer life in Lower Lake.

Chuck Sturges will be the guest reader for this final chapter.  

There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served.
