LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Soper-Reese Community Theatre’s Classic Movie Series presents “His Girl Friday” on Tuesday, May 14.
This film will be shown at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 St. Main St. in Lakeport, with a $5 donation per person gratefully accepted.
There are two showings, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Doors open a half-hour before each showing.
Popcorn, candy, soda, water and coffee are available for purchase.
“His Girl Friday” is a classic 1940 comedy starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell.
Grant plays Walter Burns, a newspaper editor who finds out that his ex-wife Hildy Johnson (played by Russell) is preparing to marry Bruce Baldwin (Ralph Bellamy). The film follows Burns as he tries to undermine the marriage plans.
Enjoy this great movie classic on the big screen in the beautifully restored theater, which seats 300 patrons.
The Classic Movie Series runs on the second Tuesday of every month.
