PEG Board to meet June 12

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The board of the Public, Education and Government – or PEG – channel, TV8, will meet on Wednesday, June 12.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.

Under business items, the board will discuss an equipment purchase, discuss a request from the Board of Supervisors with regard to a proposed pass-through fee to support the station and discuss possibilities involving Yuba College, as well as a live feed for the nighttime fireworks on July 6.

The board also will review the station's business plan, review a proposal by Board member Vince Metzger, discuss complaint procedures and a complaint from Jim Rickel.

Other items on the agenda include a discussion of the programmer job description and a PEG media funds request.

There also will be reports from the marketing and programming committees, and a staff report.

The PEG Board's members include Chair Denise Loustalot, Vice Chair Ed Robey, Board member Vince Metzger and Board member Jo Bennett. There is one current vacancy.
