This past year has been a busy one for CMAS!

Volunteers conducted weekly sessions using Lego robot kits with  students in the after school program at Upper Lake Elementary.

CMAS has now purchased additional laptops so that we can offer robot sessions for 32 students at a time. They will be available to after school programs county-wide in the 2013-2014 school year.

CMAS sponsored and helped to organize the new Lake County Rocket Club. The Rocket Club met weekly at Taylor Observatory under the guidance of retired teacher Bill Bordisso, and will continue in the fall.

In May, CMAS also partnered with the Lake County Office of Education, the Lake County Historical Society and the Redbud Audubon Society to put on the seventh annual art and science camp.

The camp was held at Taylor Observatory and the Ely Stage Stop. A highlight of the day was a raptor show sponsored by the Audubon Society.

CMAS is a volunteer nonprofit dedicated to providing art and science experiences for Lake County youth. All events and activities are always free of charge to students. CMAS greatly appreciates the support of businesses, service groups, and individuals whose donations make our efforts possible.
