KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The local “Medication Emancipation” effort will hold its next drop off site at the Kelseyville Fire station on Main Street on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Medication Emancipation, now in its third year, has collected more than 98,000 pills for destruction.

This year they are weighing the medications instead of counting the individual pills due to the large amounts they're collecting.

They ask that anyone wanting to drop off pills for disposal remove them from the packaging.
