MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The Community Alliance to Ban Illegal Cannabis Cultivation (CABICC) is holding a community meeting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.
The group will meet at Garden Emporium, Highway 175 in Middletown.
The meeting is being held to discuss a referendum on Lake County's recently passed ordinance, which bans outdoor cannabis cultivation in community growth boundaries and on vacant parcels, and limits indoor grows to 100 square feet.
A draft referendum is being prepared and will be presented at the meeting.
CABBIC is part of the Emerald Unity Coalition, which include UFCW, CANORML, Americans for Safe Access, Patients Rights Coalition, Emerald Growers and California Cannabis Industry Association.
CABBIC is seeking to rid the community of transient criminal growers through responsible regulation of the legitimate medical cannabis industry.
