LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Green Party of Lake County's meeting on Sunday, May 18, will feature candidates for the upcoming elections.

The meeting will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at Round Table Pizza in the Safeway shopping center on 11th Street in Lakeport. No host food and drink will be available.

Joyce Overton, who is running for the District 2 seat on the Board of Supervisors, will speak first, followed by two of the candidates for assessor-recorder.

There will be a discussion of Measure L, the lake sales tax, with a pro and con presentation.

Members will vote on endorsements of candidates for the June 3 election.

Green Party membership is not required; they welcome people from all political persuasions to their meetings.
