LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Saturday, May 31, approximately 50 vintage wooden boats from around Northern California will gather at the Konocti Vista Casino Marina in Lakeport for the 16th annual Wood & Glory boat and car show.
The boats will parade into the Konocti Vista Casino Marina – located at 2755 Mission Rancheria Road – from the Clear Lake Vista Resort in Soda Bay at approximately 11 a.m. and be on display to the public until 2 p.m. at no charge.
The local Sea Scouts will be at the marina selling water to the visitors.
Wood & Glory is an annual gathering of antique and classic wooden boats on Clear Lake.
The event is one of several held each year throughout the state by the Northern California-Lake Tahoe chapter of the Antique and Classic boat society (A.C.B.S.), a national organization.
This year’s event has a great mixture of not only vintage watercraft, but also fabulous classic cars and a chance to support several worthy local groups.
Held in conjunction with the wooden boat show, the No Name Car Club will have more than 70 cars and hot rods on display in the Konocti Vista Casino parking lot.
Donations will be accepted by the No Name Car Club with the funds going to the Kelseyville High School Ag program. The cars will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Stop by early and get a tasty pancake at the Operation Tango Mike Pancake Breakfast inside the casino in the banquet room.
The $5 pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 11 a.m., with all the proceeds going Operation Tango Mike and supporting our overseas soldiers.
Entry to see the cars and boats is at no charge to the public.
Wood & Glory is presented by Konocti Vista Casino and sponsored by Braito's Marina, Riviera Foods, Maheraja Water Skis, Wildhurst Vinyards, Chacewater Winery and Hillside Honda .
