LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – On July 30, California Highway Patrol Explorer Post-151 received a donation of $375 from the Lake County Rodeo Association.
The donation was made to the post for its assistance in setting up and taking down the rodeo’s arena in July of this year. By all accounts, the rodeo was a great success.
The post would like to thank the members of the rodeo association for their generous donation, and will use the monies to assist them as they travel to compete at the Statewide Explorer Competition in Paso Robles Sept. 19.
CHP Explorer posts are recognized nonprofit organizations that provide mentoring, training and experience for youths that are interested in a law enforcement career.
Posts receive no money from the CHP and must be financially self-sufficient by fund raising and receiving donations from the community the post serves.
If any parties are interested in donating to Explorer Post-151 or if there is a need for the post’s services, contact Officer Kory Reynolds at 707-279-0103.
