Local group plans Nov. 19 pizza fundraiser to benefit 'Autism Speaks'

LOWER LAKE, Calif. – An all-you-can-eat pizza fundraiser on Wednesday, Nov. 19, will benefit an autism advocacy group.

The team “Rebekah and Friends” – which will take part in the “Walk Now for Autism Speaks” event – will host the dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. at DJ's Pizza, 16135 Main St. in Lower Lake.

The cost is $8 per person.

There also will be a raffle for a variety of prizes. Tickets cost $1 each or $10 for 12.

The raffle will take place at 7:30 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.

All of the proceeds from the Nov. 19 dinner will go to Autism Speaks, http://www.autismspeaks.org/ , which is “dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a possible cure for autism.”
