Lake County Wine Studio to host Nov. 14 Local Cuisine Scene

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – Shannon Michele of Cache Creek Catering and Lake County Wine Studio are presenting a monthly food and wine series featuring gourmet appetizers paired with select Lake County wines. Locally produced foods are proudly featured as key ingredients in recipes created by Cache Creek Catering.

The series is held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on the second Friday of each month.

The per person cost is $30 and 25 for wine studio club members. Reservations are required.

Nov. 14 will open with an appetizer of herbed cheese on crackers with Lavender Blue Viognier. 

The salad course will pair Fore Family Grenache Blanc with arugula, spinach, Fuji persimmon and pomegranate with pomegranate-honey dressing, followed by roasted turkey with Thanksgiving pan sauce, sausage and sage stuffing with dried cherry/cranberry sauce paired with Aliénor Cellars Coté de Castellero Syrah. 

The dessert course will be pumpkin cheesecake with Lavender Blue Tawny Syrah dessert wine.

Dec. 12 will be the next date to follow for the Local Cuisine Scene event with the theme, “Winter Night Warm Up and Lake County Tempranillos.”
