LAKEPORT, Calif. – Christmas decorating just got easier thanks to St. John’s Episcopal Church Thrift Shop where trees, lights and ornaments are marked at affordable prices so all may prepare for this festive season.
Located at N. Forbes Street and Clearlake Ave. in Lakeport, the shop is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Thrift shop proceeds support St. John's community food programs.
Kelseyville resident Kathy Moorhead and Lakeport resident Janette Steiner are long-time thrift shop volunteers.
How long?
“Since the early 90s,” said Moorhead, “and my mother-in-law 100 years before me. St. John's thrift shop has good prices, and it's nice to get out, meet people and do something good for the community.”
“Customers tell us this is their favorite thrift shop,” Steiner said, “because it's friendly and fun.”
