'The Pink Panther' shows at the Soper Reese on Feb. 10

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Soper Reese Theatre's Classic Movie Series will host the 1963 comedy, “The Pink Panther,” on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Show times are 1 and 6 p.m.

Director and screenwriter Blake Edwards creates the hilarious character of Inspector Clouseau, and Peter Sellers gives a perfect performance as the conceited but clueless detective determined to uncover the Phantom jewel thief.

The movie also stars Robert Wagner and David Niven. The instantly recognizable jazz theme music was composed by Henry Mancini.

For the matinée showings, doors open at 12:30 p.m., with the shows starting at 1 p.m.

For the evening showings, doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the films starting at 6 p.m.

Admission to the film is by donation.

Popcorn, candy, soda, water and coffee will be available for purchase.

The Soper Reese Theatre, located at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport, is a restored, historic, performing arts venue established in 1949 and seating 300 patrons.
