HVL Garden Club plans March presentation on UC Master Gardener program

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – At the Monday, March 9, meeting of the Hidden Valley Lake Garden Club, there will be a presentation by Gabriele O’Neill, a Master Gardener and member of the UC Cooperative Extension Lake County Master Gardeners.

She will talk about the UC Master Gardener Program and how it differs from a garden club.

O'Neill also will share her experience of growing mostly vegetables, fruit trees and some drought tolerant ornamentals, while also encouraging the many precious natives in her area.

Meetings of the Hidden Valley Lake Garden Club are free and open to the public on the second Monday of each month.

They are held in the Activities Room of the Administration Building of the HVL Association, 18174 Hidden Valley Road.

A social gathering with refreshments begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by a business meeting and program at 10 a.m.
