LAKEPORT, Calif. – The city of Lakeport reported early Monday that, due to downed power lines, two city streets were closed.

Smith Street, between Martin and Armstrong, and Hillcrest Drive are closed temporarily.

Community members are asked to avoid these areas as Lakeport Public Works crews are working with PG&E crews using heavy equipment.

If you notice power lines down please notify the Lake County Sheriff's Office at 707-263-2690.

The city urges drivers to continue to drive with caution.
