Caltrans plans major roadwork through March 26

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY
 
Highway 20
 
– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Bachelor Valley Road to Van Sleeper Road beginning Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
 
– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Burpee Drive to Bartlett Springs Road beginning Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
 
– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Long Valley Road to New Long Valley Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
 
Highway 175

– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs near Socrates Mine Road on Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to noon. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
 
MENDOCINO COUNTY
 
Highway 1

– Soroptimist International of Fort Bragg has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit to hold the annual Whale Run and Walk Race on Saturday, March 21, from 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. Turns onto Laurel Avenue will be restricted. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.
 
– Electrical work from Blue Side Gulch to Abalone Street will continue through Friday, March 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
 
Highway 101

– Caltrans will perform slide repairs near the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge (near Frog Woman Rock). Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.
 
– Pavement repairs from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin Friday, March 20. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101AA
 
– Highway construction from Casteel Lane to the north Willits railroad crossing will continue through Friday, March 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
 
– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs just north of the Dora Creek Bridge on Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
 
Highway 128

– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs near East Haehl Street beginning Thursday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
 
Highway 271

– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs near Cummings on Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
 
– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs near the Caltrans Leggett Maintenance yard beginning Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
 
Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
 
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
