Low-vision support group meets Lakeport Library

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeport Library and the Earle Baum Center of the Blind are collaborating to offer a free support group for people with low vision.

The low-vision support group will meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the library, located at 1425 N. High St.

Patricia Jefferson, a vision rehabilitation instructor at the Earle Baum Center, will conduct the support group and present training in low-vision aids, magnification devices, daily living skills management and techniques to support independence.

Jefferson invites the public to learn about the Earle Baum services and training and to bring their questions.

She said that this “is a really good partnership with the library and the Earle Baum Center.”
