Caltrans plans major roadwork through May 7

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Pavement repairs from Manzanita Road to Island Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Pavement repairs from Main Street in Kelseyville to the Manning Creek Bridge will begin Monday, May 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– California State Parks has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs 0.3 mile north of Pudding Creek on Friday, May 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway repairs just north of Ocean Meadows Circle will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs 0.6 mile north of Ocean Meadows Circle on Monday, May 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Abalobadiah Creek to Blue Slide Gulch through Friday, May 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Caltrans will perform slide repairs near the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge (near Frog Woman Rock). Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

– Highway construction from Casteel Lane to Reynolds Highway will continue. Intermittent one-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 128

– PG&E has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit for utility repairs 1.4 miles west of Big Oaks Drive on Wednesday, May 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Clark Anderson has been issued a Caltrans encroachment permit to construct a private road approach 1.0 mile north of Buchman Drive beginning Wednesday, May 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
 
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
