LAKEPORT, Calif. – Retiring Lake County Museum Curator Linda Lake was honored by the Friends of the Lake County Courthouse Museum and the Lake County Historical Society at a special event on Thursday, May 21.

Lake is scheduled to retire the first week of June after working for the county museums for 18 years.

She began as a volunteer at the Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum for Jane Weaver.

Lake shared with the many attendees, “After volunteering at the museum I was dancing at Konocti when a fellow dancer said, 'You're the Museum Lady.'"

Voris Brumfield is the president of the Lake County Historical Society.
