LAKEPORT, Calif. – Friends of a young woman killed in a car crash on Friday have reported that items have been taken from a memorial set up in her honor.

The memorial – located at the crash site on Park Way north of Lakeshore Boulevard near Lakeport – honors 19-year-old Francesca Schetter.

Her friends are asking for the return of the items, which include a clear treasure chest with circles on it that held personal letters to her from friends.

Other mementos taken include a ladybug and a tiara.

The items also can simply be returned to the site.
