LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County Special Olympics is planning an organization meeting on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors' chambers, located on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes, Lakeport.

They will review this past year's budget and plan for the upcoming budget year, and will discuss any needed fundraising opportunities.

Also on the agenda is a review of the sports in which local athletes will compete.

The group hopes to add soccer this fall and bocce ball next spring as a supplement to the track and field program.

Special Olympics also is seeking volunteer coaches and facilities.
