CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Warm of the Winter is currently accepting donations for its annual giveaway.

The giveaway will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12, during the Rotary Community Christmas Dinner at Burns Valley Elementary School located at 3620 Pine Street in Clearlake.

Items that are accepted included coats, gloves, tents, tarps and blankets, which will go to families and homeless people in need.

The effort is especially in need of childrens' coats, socks, underwear and hats. 

Donations for Warm of the Winter will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 11.

If you wish to contribute items, contact Joyce Overton at 707-350-2898, or drop off items at the Highlands Senior Center, 3245 Bowers Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.
