LAKEPORT, Calif. – The group Health Care For All – Lake County will host a showing of a film about universal health care on Thursday, Jan. 22.

The film on the single payer model will be shown from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the Lakeport Senior Center, 527 Konocti Ave.

“Now Is The Time, Healthcare for Everybody” is a documentary that explains why it’s time for this nation to adopt a health care system that guarantees services to everyone. 

It reveals how the for-profit medical system is costing this nation nearly twice what other industrialized nations spend per capita, with worse health outcomes in general. 

Come learn why and how universal health care is less expensive and more humane.
