MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The next meeting of the South Lake County Fire Sirens, or SLCFS, will be held on Monday, July 3, at the Middletown Senior Center.
The meeting kicks off with a morning social at 9:30 a.m. The business portion of the event starts promptly at 10 a.m.
SLCFS President Fran Rand will lead the meeting and the guest speaker will be Lake County District 1 Supervisor Moke Simon.
“The mission of the SLCFS is to raise funds to purchase equipment and supplies and to assistthe South Lake County Fire Department wherever we are able,” states Rand. “To date, SLCFS has raised more than $320,000.”
A lunch will immediately follow the business meeting at the senior center. The cost is $5 per person.

All interested community members are welcome to attend to support the ongoing efforts of this volunteer organization which has been raising funds for our community fire department for more than 31 years.
SLCFS also runs the Fire Siren Thrift Shop located at 21095 Highway 175, Middletown. The Fire Siren Thrift Shop, “Second Hand But Grand,” is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
SLCFS meetings are held monthly on the first Monday morning of each month. New members are welcome. A coffee social kicks off the morning at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10 a.m.
