CLEARLAKE, Calif. – On Sunday, May 21, at Redbud Park in Clearlake, five members of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 8-8 of Lake County successfully weighed and fitted 90 youngsters with complimentary life jackets. CLEARLAKE, Calif. – On Sunday, May 21, at Redbud Park in Clearlake, five members of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 8-8 of Lake County successfully weighed and fitted 90 youngsters with complimentary life jackets. 

The children’s parents were advised on the proper wearing of the life jackets and advice on keeping youngsters safe in and around the water.

This project was made possible by a grant from Walmart in Clearlake and the volunteer members of the flotilla.

The flotilla stresses the importance life jackets being worn by everyone who goes boating on the lake.
