100+ Women Strong in Lake County announces third gathering on Aug. 10

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Lake County Chapter of 100+ Women Strong, a giving circle where members nominate local organizations to receive funding, announced that its next meeting will take place on Thursday, Aug. 10.

The meeting will be held at Moore Family Winery, located at 11990 Bottle Rock Road, Kelseyville.

Networking will begin at 6 p.m., with the meeting starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. and continuing until approximately 7:30 p.m. There is a parking lot at the winery.

The evening celebrates with a nod to Wonder Woman. Guests are encouraged to dress up and celebrate the Wonder Women in our community.

100+ Women Strong in Lake County is incredibly grateful for the assistance of local businesses like Community First Credit Union, Flying Hammer Fabrication, Ice Water Distributors, Moore Family Winery, and Shannon Ridge Family of Wines, that support the group’s mission to give back to Lake County.

The group of Lake County women is working to support local communities by donating to Lake County charities together to increase the impact.

At each meeting, three pre-nominated organizations are picked “from the hat” to share its mission and vision with the group. After the three organizations present, members then vote anonymously and the organization with the most votes receives a check for $100 from each member, written that evening directly to the winning organization.

The group is patterned after similar all-women giving circles located throughout the world. In 2017, the Lake County chapter has already raised more than $30,000 for groups committed to serving our local community.
