MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Community members are meeting in Middletown as part of the town’s monthly litter roundup.

The next roundup will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 12.

Gather at the Hardester’s parking lot, 21088 Calistoga Road, beginning at 9:45 a.m.

Volunteers will be equipped with “litter sticks” and trash bags as they remove trash from the streets. Routes are assigned.

Bringing water and work gloves is advised.

Middletown High School students can earn community service hours for participating.

Litter roundup dates for the rest of the year are 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 9 and Oct. 14, and noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 11 and Dec. 16.
