SPCA of Lake County to hold volunteer orientation, vaccination clinic Aug. 20

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The SPCA of Lake County will hold an orientation and vaccination clinic on Sunday, Aug. 20.

The clinic will take place from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the orientation at 11:30 a.m. at the group’s headquarters, 8025 Highway 29, Kelseyville.

Community members are invited to stop in and find out if this opportunity is for them.

Each clinic day the group spays/neuters up to 30 animals, potentially preventing hundreds of unwanted pregnancies in Lake County.

They need morning volunteers for four to six hours, to help with intake paperwork and assisting staff with weighing dogs; lunch service for an hour; afternoon shifts of doing laundry, emptying trashcans, making copies of release documents and filing; and spraying and wiping down interior metal kennels, meeting with clients to go over release instructions, emptying trash, sweeping and more laundry.
