Upper Lake Senior Center plans Aug. 30 genealogy program

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – The Upper Lake Senior Center will host a program on genealogy on Wednesday, Aug. 30.

The Lake County Genealogy Group will present an introduction to genealogy from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Would you like to know who your ancestors might be? Maybe you'll find out or you will develop a passion to learn more.

A light lunch will follow the presentation.

All are welcome to attend.

The Upper Lake Senior Center provides a number of programs. On the second and fourth Monday afternoons is a French class.

On Tuesdays, gentle seated yoga takes place at 11 a.m. followed by an art class at noon.

On the third Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. they provide the Upper Lake Community Food Project.

A Friendly Visitor Program also is offered, and they are always available to help seniors connect with resources and problem solve.

The center’s motto is "Share and Care.”

The Upper Lake Senior Center is located at 9470 Mendenhall Road.
