The project consists of fuel and vegetation treatments on approximately 6,400 acres of National Forest System lands including 933 acres of commercial thinning, 3,326 acres of fuel reduction treatments, 400 acres of plantation pre-commercial thinning and 1,678 acres of wildlife habitat improvement in Glenn County and a small portion of Tehama County.
The Forest Service will accept public input on the supplemental environmental analysis and associated documents through the agency’s objection process under 36 CFR Part 218, Subparts A and C.
Written, fax, hand-delivered and electronic objections (including attachments), concerning this action will be accepted for 20 calendar days following publication of a notice in the Chico Enterprise Record on Wednesday, Sept. 27. The publication date in the newspaper is the exclusive means for calculating the objection period for this proposal. Those wishing to object should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source.
