LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – With more than 100 donated auction and raffle items, the Acme Foundation’s 19th annual Celebration of Caring Fundraiser proceeds will help with the ongoing need to help Lake County’s low-income seniors and disabled with the veterinary expenses of their seriously ill cats and dogs.

Founders Pat and Jon Meyer thank all the volunteers for their hard work: Ann Aldridge of Berkeley, Jan and Paul Woycheshin of San Leandro, Lynn and John Styles of Sebastopol, and Lake County volunteers Kristin Wescott Speed, Yvonne Scott, Nancy Oliver, Liz Daugherty and Dennis Gilson.

As always, the music of John and Karen Zimmerman was enjoyed by all.

Adding to the success of the event was the Black Rock Golf Course staff, including Stepheny, Craig, Ashley, Lizzy, John, Mike and Darian, and the delicious food.

Besides the numerous donations from around the country, thanks also to Lake County donations from Hardester’s Markets, Gregory Graham Wines, Steele Wines, Fults Family Vineyards, Kaz Winery, R Vineyards, Buddha Thai Restaurant, Dr. Debi Sally and Ken Ling, Clearlake Veterinary Clinic, Yvonne Scott, Jacque and Roy Spiker, Helen Whitney, Kristin Wescott Speed, Nancy Oliver and Lynn Hollenback.

Preparations are getting started for the Acme Foundation’s 20th anniversary celebration. To get on their mailing list call 707-928-5200.
