NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Thursday, Nov. 9, through Sunday, Nov. 12, in observance of Veteran’s Day.

However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans Maintenance forces to respond to emergency situations.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 29

– Highway Construction on the Lakeport Blvd Overcrossing will begin Sunday, Nov. 12. The offramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should seek an alternative route. LC#C29MA

Highway 175

– Emergency highway repairs near Arroyo Vista Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work at Crispin Road through Cameron Road to begin Monday, Nov. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at the Noyo River Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency highway repairs near South Fork Eel River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work at the Pomo Undercrossing Bridge will begin Monday, Nov. 13. Lane restrictions will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency wildfire repairs at Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work near Cedar Creek Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency slide repairs at Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorist should minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work near South Mountain Road and the Sonoma County Line to begin Monday, Nov. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 16. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Pavement work from 1 mile west of Poonkiny to Short Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Highway repairs near Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
