Lakeport Police Department now accepting payments for services at station

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Police Department reported that it is now accepting payments at the police station on S. Main Street for vehicle release fees, city dog license fees, parking citations and other police fees.

In the past, persons needing to obtain towed vehicle releases, pay dog license, parking citations or other fees had to go to the police station to arrange paperwork and then to City Hall to pay fees.

In an effort to provide better service and the least inconvenience to the public, the city of Lakeport Finance Department and Lakeport Police Department have worked together to tie the police station into the city bill and fees pay system.

Police department policy as of Nov. 15 is to accept cash, cashiers checks and credit or debit card payments – no personal checks are accepted – at the police station for police-related fees only between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

All other city-related bills must be paid at City Hall, 225 Park St.

The Lakeport Police Department is located at 2025 S. Main St., telephone 707-263-5491.
