NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Wednesday, Nov. 22, through Sunday, Nov. 26, in observance of Thanksgiving.
However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans Maintenance forces to respond to emergency situations.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Hudson Avenue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Foothill Drive. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Private Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 29
– Highway Construction on the Lakeport Boulevard Overcrossing will continue. The offramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should seek an alternative route.
Highway 175
– Emergency slide work from Arroyo Vista Road to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 101
– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Emergency wildfire repairs at Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 24 hours a day weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Pavement work from Hollands Land to Monica Lane will start Tuesday, Dec. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Slide repairs 1 mile south of Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency slide repairs at Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorist should minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 128
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at West Limits Philo Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Hutsell Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 162
– Pavement work from 1 mile west of Poonkiny to Short Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 175
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for Tree work at Russian River Private Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 271
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Big Dam and Marion Lane. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
