LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Lake County Public Services announced the Christmas-related closures for its office and landfill.

The Eastlake Landfill in Clearlake will be closed Sunday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas Holiday.

The Public Services office in Lakeport will be closed Monday, Dec. 25; Tuesday, Dec. 26; and Wednesday, Dec. 27, for the Christmas holiday.

The Eastlake Landfill will reopen Tuesday, Dec. 26, and the Public Services office will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 28.

Normal operating hours at the landfill are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The Public Services office is normally open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Normal collection schedules will resume the week following the holiday.

Christmas trees can be dropped off at Lake County Waste Solutions, 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport, from Dec. 28 through Jan. 9.

Trees can be taken to the South Lake Refuse Recycling dropoff, located at the Eastlake Landfill, 16015 Davis St. in Clearlake; and Quackenbush at 16520 Davis St. in Clearlake from Dec. 28 to Jan. 14.

South Lake Refuse and Recycling and Quackenbush Buyback/Drop off center are open from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily.

Lake County Waste Solutions buyback/dropoff center in Lakeport is open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
