NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Guardrail work from Le Trianon Resort to East Mid Lake Road will begin Thursday, Jan. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 29
– Highway Construction on the Lakeport Blvd Overcrossing will continue. The offramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should seek an alternative route.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Routine maintenance at North Limits Elk will occur on Friday, Jan. 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency slide repairs at 1 mile South Mill Bank Resort will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 24 hours a day weekdays. Motorist should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Treatment Plant Overcrossing will occur on Sunday, Jan. 7. Traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work at South Moore Avenue Undercrossing will begin Thursday, Jan. 11. Traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Emergency wildfire repairs at Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 24 hours a day weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Sign work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to mile marker 47.5 on new Willits Bypass will occur on Thursday, Jan. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Sign work from Route 162 East to Long Valley Creek Road will occur on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Traffic control will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Rattlesnake Creek will occur on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Sign work at Empire Camp Rest Area will occur on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Full offramp closure will be in effect from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should seek an alternate rest area.
– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency slide repairs at Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorist should minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 175
– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
