NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – Caltrans reported that the U.S. Highway 101 southbound lane only near Piercy will experience a short detour onto Route 271 as crews complete guardrail work.

This detour will occur on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with work possibly wrapping up sooner.

Southbound motorists should anticipate five to 10 minutes of additional travel time depending on traffic volume; northbound motorists should not experience any traffic impacts.
