Jan. 31 meeting looks at economic value of fishing

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee and the University of California Cooperative Extension – Lake County will present a public workshop addressing the economics of fishing on Clear Lake.

The workshop will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the Board of Supervisors’ chambers, located on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.

On the agenda is a presentation by Greg Giusti, University of California, emeritus, on “Understanding the economic value of angling on Clear Lake.”

Tiffany Harz, who holds a master’s degree from Marymount California University, will discuss “Tapping into the Economic Potential of Lake County Fishing Tourism.”
