LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Charlie Schaupp, candidate for US Congress from California's Third District, will join Judge Stephen Bailey, candidate for California Attorney General, and Jim McCully, Republican Northwest Regional vice chair and state board member on the speaker roster at the inaugural Ronald Reagan Day Reception and Dinner on March 10.
The event will be presented by the Lake County Republican Central Committee. and the Lake County Republican Women, Federated.
This event honoring President Ronald Reagan and featuring Republican candidates running for office in the coming elections will be held at the Kelseyville, Riviera Hills Restaurant, is now sold out. No tickets will be available at the door.
Schaupp understands our community with its diversified agricultural as his grandparents settled in Yolo County in the 1880s and he continues in the farming industry today.
Lt. Col. Colonel Schaupp, United States Marines, is also a proven patriot. He is a retired Marine officer having served in many areas protecting our country.
During a five-year mobilization in the global war on terrorism, Schaupp served as anti-terrorism officer for the 3rd Marine Division, security officer for First Marine Expeditionary Force in battle of Fallujah (duties as a special staff officer to General Conway assigned to safeguard access to classified information and operations), and deputy camp commander and anti-terrorism officer for Camp Courtney, Okinawa-Japan, protecting and safeguarding more than 5,000 Marines and families who were deployed overseas.
Judge Steven Bailey recently retired from the California Superior Court to run for attorney general. He is a conservative Republican with extensive litigation experience in criminal and administrative law. As a judge he presided over complex criminal, civil, family, veteran, business, and juvenile cases, and administered tough punishment such as death penalty and the life sentence rulings. He is endorsed by the California Gun Owners Association, Mike Reynolds (author of three strikes), multiple police and sheriff's departments and many others. He recently released a statement vehemently opposing sanctuary state status.
Jim McCully, represents the Republican Northwest Region (Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Yolo, Lake and Trinity counties) with a population of 1,625 million residence with 218,000 registered Republican voters.
McCully is a veteran, with a 40-year law enforcement career at the local, county, and federal level which included special agent US Secret Service, with assignments in forgery, counterfeiting, anti-terrorism and dignitary protection.
