Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch, SPCA to hold pet vaccination, microchip and spay/neuter voucher clinic May 4

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch, in conjunction with SPCA Lake County, is hosting a free community pet vaccination, microchip and spay/neuter voucher clinic to local low-income residents of Lake County.

The clinic will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 14435 Uhl Ave. in Clearlake.

The first 200 dogs and cats will receive vaccinations, microchips and spay/neuter vouchers.

“JARR is committed to helping to prevent the suffering of animals and to ending the pet overpopulation in the areas we serve,” said JARR Co-Founder Monica Stevens. “Thanks to the generosity of Too Faced Cosmetics and local partners such as SPCA Lake County we are able to help the families with pets in need in Clearlake.”

SPCA worked hard to find a suitable and convenient location for the clinic, and thanks to a grant awarded to JARR by Too Faced, the organization is able to provide and fund hundreds of vouchers, chips, vaccinations – all to make it as easy as possible for Lake County families to care for the pets they love so much.

Since the Valley fire in 2015, JARR has been active in the Lake County community helping low-income families with their pets.

The clinic will not only help pet owners keep their animals healthy but will also help to address the cat and dog overpopulation in Lake County, which has been an ongoing issue for some time.

With a growing concern from citizens over animal related care, public health and safety, JARR has worked with great local organizations, including SPCA Lake County, to assist in offering a solution to the pet overpopulation and animal health crisis in the county.

Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch is a no-kill rescue and sanctuary based in the Napa Valley for companion and farmed animals in need. The nonprofit provides transitional and permanent shelter, adoption and rescue services, humane education, animal advocacy, and is committed to ending animal hunger, cruelty, and overpopulation.
