Forest offices will be closed May 17

MENDOCINO NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – All Mendocino National Forest offices will be closed Thursday, May 17, to allow employees to attend a forest-wide workshop.

The offices will reopen Friday, May 18, at 8 a.m.

When planning a trip to the forest, please be advised that some roads sustained damage during the winter.

There are many known hazards, a few closures and there may be other problems such as downed trees and rock slides that have not been identified yet as some areas are unsafe for employees to enter.

High clearance vehicles are recommended for travel on the forest.
